Q1. |
Why should we use the solar products? How
can using these types of products help us to save
electricity, and other types of costs such as connecting and
maintenance costs? |
|
|
|
|
A1 |
The solar
power supplied by the rays of the sun is an inexhaustible
natural resource able to meet more than 6000 times what
mankind consumes at the present time. Not only do we do not
need to use up our earth’s precious resources when we use
solar energy to generate electricity but the process
produces no C02 emissions, no air pollution, no noise
polluting and the scope of practical applications is truly
extensive. It can be said that solar energy is today’s most
promising contribution to environmental protection and a
greener world. Apart from helping to reduce environmental
pollution and lowering the amount of greenhouse gases
produced, we are sure that you will be able to save a
sizeable amount on electricity fees and installation fees. |
|
Below we give a
detailed breakdown of one example. We analyze exhaustively
the advantages that the use of Maki Ground light SH-170
products can bring in terms of electrical net cost,
environmental net cost, installation and maintenance costs
and long-term effects. The benefits to you and the
environment are abundantly:

Q2.
|
Within what temperature range do solar
products operate effectively? Will the cold of winter or the
heat of summer have an impact on device efficiency? |
|
|
|
|
A2 |
The
normal temperature range in most parts of the world is,
generally speaking, within the range at which solar cell can
be used, that is -20~70℃.
At that temperature, the coefficient for time of
effectiveness is approximately -0.38%/℃~
-0.4%/℃.
The rechargeable battery operating temperature is -20~65℃,
and the storage temperature is from -25~80℃.
Consequently although the operating temperature may vary,
there is only a slight influence on the solar product. On
the whole solar products are suitable for use in most places
in the world. |

Q3 |
Are solar products suitable for indoor use?
Do ordinary interior light sources offer enough energy to
generate power for the solar device to work? |
|
|
|
|
A3 |
Lamp light is an artificial illumination
source with a different wavelength from that of sunlight's
more complete wavelength, therefore when solar batteries
designed for outdoor use are placed under fluorescent lamps
they operate less effectively. However under incandescent
light sources, the effectiveness is dependent on the
distance from the light source. It can vary from 100% to 5%
of power. The wavelengths of fluorescent and incandescent
light bulbs are not the same. Generally speaking the
intensity of light from fluorescent tubes is so low that it
may not be able to supply enough power to charge the solar
battery. Other types of inside lights are constrained by the
distance from the light source making it more difficult to
obtain enough energy to completely charge up the solar
products and allow them to operate. Therefore although most
ordinary interior illumination can offer a little electrical
energy to supply solar power to use, on the whole for
optimal device productiveness we recommend that solar
powered products be used outside. |

Q4 |
Can solar products be safely installed as
decorative light sources in water? Will the efficiency of
the light be affected by the depth of the water? |
|
|
|
|
A4 |
Basically since our solar products are
designed for use in overcast and rainy weather conditions
they are water resistant. This is especially true of our
Ground Lights and Bricks which as noted elsewhere have
received IP68 International Certification. This means that
with regard to water resistance these two types of products
as decorative underwater lighting. It should be remembered
however that the water affects the penetration of the sun's
rays which power the solar device. The solar cell may not be
able to absorb enough energy and may have an influence on
product effectiveness Experimental testing indicates that
placing a panel about 15 cm below the surface will reduce
its effectiveness by about 30%.Consequently although our
products are water resistant, they are not really suitable
for decorative underwater lighting. We recommend that if you
need to install Ground Lights or Bricks in water that the
water depth should be less than 20 cm in order to preserve
optimal efficiency. |
